The opportunity available is for a Human Resources Generalist located at our Tukwila, Washington office. You will need experience with HR functional knowledge to perform in the following HR areas: recruitment, employee relations, training, process improvement and compliance. Additional duties include but are not limited to:

Recruitment

· Develop and manage assigned job vacancies in partnership with technician recruiter and hiring managers that meet hiring target dates with competitive candidates. Ensure positive candidate experiences at every stage of the recruitment process. Utilize Ultipro ATS.

· Partner with hiring managers on all aspects of employment including creating, posting and managing the recruitment process through a successful and memorable onboarding of new hires.

Employee Relations:

· Advise and counsel Supervisors and Managers regarding employee concerns by suggesting proactive solutions that help to build a positive workplace culture.

· Coach and provide consultation to leadership on all aspects of employment which includes employee coaching, counseling and separations.

· Facilitate employee relations counseling, including conducting investigations and recommending appropriate corrective action and drafting disciplinary action documents, in accordance with established progressive disciplinary guidelines.

· Promote positive working relationships within organizations.

Professional Services and Compliance

· Facilitate and manage key professional services duties, including the performance management review process, managing FMLA, worker’s compensation, onboarding and personnel documents.

· Coordinate timely processing of performance reviews and compensation adjustments.

· Maintain HR metrics for assigned customer groups and for HR reporting.

· Responsible for guiding all employees to ensure consistent adherence to the Harnish Group, Inc. corporate strategy and company policies, procedures, and practices.

· Facilitate employee, manager meetings and training on HR related programs and policies to include our annual Employee Opinion Survey, Open Enrollment and other employee related projects.

· Maintain EEO/AAP data; oversee annual reporting requirements.

· Assist the safety team with investigations pertaining to workplace injuries.

· Coordinate workers compensation light duty and return to work with employees and supervisors.

Personal Attributes, Experience, and Education:

· Minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience gained through positions primarily serving operational, non-exempt and management employees. Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent in work experience.

· Experience in recruitment, compliance, employee relations and benefits.

· Communicate effectively with HR team members and all levels of the organization in a variety of workplace situations with professionalism, a strong customer focus, confidentiality and diplomacy.

· Commitment to protect confidential and sensitive employee and business information is essential.

· Strong verbal and written communications skills to respond to, and present HR related items.

· Manage multiple tasks and projects with unexpected requests and changing priorities.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel.

· Flexibility to visit assigned branches in the Western Washington areas.
