The Human Resources (HR) Business provides day-to-day human resource activities across Electrical Products (EP) SBU in Shelton, CT. The HR Talent and Employee Relations partner carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas including but not limited to end-to-end salaried recruiting, training, and development. This position will report to the Director, HR for Electrical Products Hubbell, Inc. and preferably based out Shelton, CT.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducts in-depth and ongoing analysis of headcount requirements, staffing gaps, market wage rates and accurate data tracking metrics
• Partners with 3rd party suppliers and our managed services provider on temporary staffing resources
• Coordinates employee engagement activities, conducts stay interviews and promotes our culture of inclusion and diversity
• Explore creative recruiting methods including social media, job fairs, and local agencies
• Manage and ensure candidate experience is of the highest quality
• Manages the EP end to end intern program
• Coordinates pre-employment screenings and assists with orientation activities
• Updates and maintains employee records in HRIS; responsible for HR transactions such as promotions, transfers, and terminations
• Supports managers and HR with timekeeping and attendance programs to ensure payroll accuracy
• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance system
• Conducts, manages and supports Employee Relations investigations across EP
• Work with other HR business partners, HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and other functional partners (Legal, Finance, IT, Talent Acquisition) to deliver HR support/services to the business and employees
