Job Description:
Positions will be in Green Bay, Wisconsin reporting directly into the People Leader for the Platform Global Operations.
This position will partner with leaders and team members in a manufacturing (Union)/office environment. This person will provide HR partnership to Plant Operations and Leadership related to staffing, labor relations / employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, discipline, policy preparation/interpretation, management development, community relations, employee communications, and special projects.
Essential Functions
  • Will have primary accountability for contract administration, including interpretation.
  • Provides guidance and direction to managers and supervisors in matters pertaining to union labor contracts, work rules and other employee related issues.
  • Work to ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations; work with other management members to help ensure equitable compensation for all employees; review job descriptions and recommend wage grade placements.
  • Investigate complaints of discrimination; conduct follow-up after investigation is concluded. Respond to charges of discrimination filed with the EEOC.
  • Counsel with employees and management team members needing assistance.
  • Counsel with management team members in use of employee discipline; review and sign written warnings, review suspensions and terminations.
  • Develop compensation structures (to include pay grades and job titles) by analyzing salaries and job responsibilities.
  • Periodically review personnel policies; recommend policy changes/additions as necessary; assist in policy administration.
  • Partner with leaders on Staffing, Team member development, training and Succession Planning.
  • Perform analytical tasks on project basis.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration or related field required.
  • Five (5) years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment where the experience included in-depth involvement in staffing/recruiting and employee/labor relations preferred.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.
