Job Summary: The HR Coordinator performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: onboarding and benefits administration. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The HR Coordinator must be sensitive to both employee and business needs.

Essential Functions:

· Maintains employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies

· Administers data entry for file maintenance on contractors. Maintains and monitors expiring documents; follows-up as needed.

· Assists with onboarding, benefit enrollments, changes and terminations

· Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9

· Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs

· Other projects or duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· 1-3 years of relevant work experience

· Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations

· Proven experience in handling confidential information

· Outstanding organizational and time management skills

· Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple projects at once

· Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion

Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required

Certification: None required, SHRM Certification a plus

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

This is primarily a sedentary position where one must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% or more of the time. This position will require eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. This work is performed in an office environment and involves frequent contact with staff and the public. This position requires occasional local travel between offices.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
