Chevron Phillips Chemical is currently seeking an HR Business Partner to join our team at our Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas. The selected candidate will report to the HR Manager, Manufacturing and Corporate Planning & Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Full-scale HR Generalist support for designated customer groups.
  • Development and implementation of strategic HR programs in partnership with the leadership and corporate HR teams.
  • The selected candidate will play a role in key HR initiatives including employee relations, workforce planning, recruiting/staffing, organizational development, talent/performance management, diversity, equity & inclusion, compensation, regulatory compliance, employee communications, and other projects/duties as assigned.
  • At times, the successful candidate may have the delegation of the HR Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED and at least 8 years of professional HR experience, with a concentration of the experience in HR Generalist arena
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity – dealing with issues that do not always have a process or a system in place with the capability to help define the process
  • Ability to interact with and present information to all levels of employees in the organization including senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically related to HR business plan implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the design and implementation of HR programs and services, including experience in leading cross-functional project teams
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and including ability to create presentations appropriate for use with senior leaders
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize data to drive decision making
  • A team-oriented focus, leadership skills and strong business acumen are important for successful performance in this position
  • Must be proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must travel to Bartlesville, Oklahoma one week per month and Kingwood Research Technology facility once per week
  • Open and able to relocate to other CPChem facilities within the greater Houston area in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration or related field
  • Strong potential to assume future HR leadership roles
  • Experience with SuccessFactors
  • Experience with an HR digital transformation project or organization
  • Corporate and Manufacturing experience
