The role
We are currently looking to recruit a full-time HR Assistant.
The role is full-time, 35 hours a week and we are happy to talk flexible working. In particular, we encourage our employees to consider a nine day fortnight with compressed hours where this suits them.

In this role you will provide an HR administration service including resolution of 1st level queries, in accordance with established policies and procedures and enable managers to carry out their people management role effectively by providing basic advice on policy and process.

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • CIPD level 3 qualification or working towards, or equivalent experience.
  • Educated to GCSE Grade C (Level 4) or equivalent experience.
  • Basic awareness of the employment law.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of the HR function and its role within a diverse and geographically spread organisation.

This is a home based role, although some infrequent visits to our Head Office in Birmingham (or other Housing 21 locations) may be required for collaboration or team meetings.
