Paradise Stream Resort is hiring a Dedicated and Enduring Houseperson at the 143-room resort located in Mount Pocono, PA. Candidates must have experience in cleaning/servicing room, preferably 1 Year of experience in the hospitality service industry. The ideal candidate will put pride in their work, be reliable, and be friendly and professional at all times.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. A high school graduate education or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include assisting room/suite attendants with general cleaning of guest rooms and suites. This may include vacuuming, shampooing of carpets, cleaning and waxing of floors, trash removal, stocking and maintaining supply rooms; as well as other cleaning duties.

Essential Functions:

• Participates in the scheduled general cleaning of guest rooms, including guest fireplaces, pool areas, mirrors, windows, and tubs.
• Reports maintenance requests to ensure guest rooms comply with brand standards.
• Responsible for periodic distribution of clean linen amongst housekeeping staff
• Responsible for pickup and disposal of unwashed linen
• Required to operate company vehicle daily to maintain consistent quality and flow of service

In addition to these essential functions, the Houseperson must be able to constantly walk, reach, and stand. Housekeeping staff are also required to adhere to safety and security procedures that are set forth by the company.

• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members verbally and in written form
• Ability to arrive to work on-time and when scheduled for work
• Ability to work independently, completing all daily assigned duties
• Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to the areas assigned
• Ability to follow all safety procedures and standards and ability to recognize and act appropriately in emergency situations

Qualifications:
Education
High School graduate or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Experience
Previous experience preferred.

Licenses or Certificates
Valid PA State Driver's License Required. CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.

Grooming
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

Other
Must be at least 21 years old. Additional language ability preferred, but not required.
