Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Housekeeping Supervisors to join our exceptional team at a competitive pay rate ($15-18/HR DOE) including benefits (PTO, Vacation, Holiday and Health Insurance) for Full-Time associates.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for leading the efforts of the housekeeping program. The Housekeeping Supervisor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling, supplies control, maintaining guestrooms, work areas and the hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner at all times. The position is also responsible for coordinating daily housekeeping operations, maintaining the housekeeping operating standards, supervising the room attendants/inspectors to deliver excellent guest satisfaction, experience, and service standards to all guests.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the smooth operation of the housekeeping department and ensures that the entire operation is performed per the housekeeping standards of the company.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors and heart of the house areas.
  • Organizes and facilitates the room making and cleaning process.
  • Responsible for the performance of all supervised associates and room attendants.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, training, panning, assigning and directing work of associates as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Organizes immediately any guest needs per the General Manager.
  • Manages guest requests and VIP amenities including communicating them to the relevant team members.
  • Is aware and knowledgeable of all room categories and amenities.
  • Achieves positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Carries out the lost and found procedures at the property.
  • Reports any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department.
  • Assists the General Manager with training requirements.
  • Coordinates and completes all daily paperwork
  • Allocates rooms daily and assigns deep cleaning tasks to team members.
  • Hold Daily Stand Up as required
  • Make lists of who is working in each section to leave with the General Manager as a safety/security requirement.
  • Update room attendants room assignments as to which rooms have checked out or made any changes
  • Routinely inspects guest rooms to ensure they meet or exceed standards: Inspect all rooms that have checked-out. Turn in written inspection forms to the General Manager.
  • Inspect all vacant, clean rooms each day.
  • Coordinate and manage end of day housekeeping tasks: when housekeepers finish, check and sign each worksheet, check store rooms for supplies, check laundry chutes are locked
  • Before leaving, check with the Front Office to be sure all rooms are programmed clean in the PMS system and check any questionable rooms to ensure all available rooms are ready to rent.
  • Keep General Manager and Housekeeping Inspectors advised of any problems or special information with the department.
  • Complies with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
  • Assists other departments wherever necessary and maintains good working relationships.
  • Complies with attendance rules and is available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • At least a High School diploma or GED; minimum of one-year prior experience and/or training as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Inspector of a moderate size hotel
  • Ability to plan and be a self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills with associates, management, and guests
  • Knowledgeable of hotel housekeeping operations.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days
