Pay Range: $14-$16

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge, and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain common areas of the hotel including sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, dusting furniture and fixtures, removing trash, cleaning elevators, public restrooms, pool and fitness center, associate locker rooms and other areas as assigned.
- Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed for deeper cleaning.
- Remove trash from public areas inside and outside and put in dumpster.
- Vacuum hallways and mop floors at elevator landing areas.
- Clean public and service elevator as needed.
- Respond to guests’ special requests, and act to ensure guest satisfaction.
- May assist with other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems, however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like laundry rooms (+110 F) or outside possibly for one hour or more.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds on a regular and consistent basis, and push/pull equipment weighing up to 250 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and moving about the facility to include using elevators and stairs. Requires grasping, reaching, and performing repetitive motions; manual dexterity to operate equipment.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required.
Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with Crowne Plaza Lansing West rules and regulations for the safe and effective operations of the Hotel’s facilities. Associates who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including, dismissal.
