The Housekeeping Manager plays a major role in making this happen by helping us to ensure each unit is clean, properly equipped with the correct amenities and everything is in working order. The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the housekeeping department by working with the staff to make sure quality standards are met and ensuring that exceptional service is provided to our guests. This responsibility includes hiring the right people, training them, ensuring a successful working environment, inspecting their work and assisting them with cleaning when necessary.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the operations of the housekeeping and laundry areas. Oversees hiring, firing, training, inspecting and performance reviews.

Routinely performs all functions of supervised positions including cleaning, inspecting and laundry.

Establishes and maintains cost control systems for linen, guest supplies and cleaning supply inventories; oversees the ordering and receiving of such supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels necessary for efficient and cost effective operation of the resort.

Develops and implements systems for inspecting and maintaining the quality of housekeeping and laundry services; oversees inspections of housekeeping/laundry activities to ensure procedures are followed according to standards.

Ensures the proper scheduling of staff and assignments according to productivity standards based on occupancy levels.

Records and maintains Lost & Found Log.

Follow up on maintenance requests and coordinates with the Maintenance Department to ensure resort service standards and guests' needs are met.

Implements and trains proper procedures according to OSHA procedure and reporting requirements.

Interacts with guest and owners as needed to ensure complete satisfaction. Serves as Manager on Duty (when required).

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated go-getter, able to accomplish tasks quickly, efficiently, in a courteous manner, and without supervision. Candidate will be required to work weekends and holidays. They will also have the following qualifications:

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years experience in a housekeeping capacity, a minimum of one year in a supervisory position and knowledge of all housekeeping functions.

Pay: From $38,000.00 per year
