Position Description

Under the direct supervision of the QIDP and Programs Director the incumbent is responsible for ensuring that training, services, and supports are provided to maximize the independence of the individuals. The incumbent also manages daily operation of the individual's home/apartments including the scheduling and supervision of staff.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads direct support professionals (DSPs) in the overall provision of programmatic, household, and environmental services at residences.
  • Orients new DSPs on their responsibilities and residential procedures.
  • Assist with development of person-centered goals, IPPs based upon Person-Centered Thinking tools and modification of goals as necessary.
  • Attends all in-service training, admission, and intake meetings, staff meetings, ISP meetings and other pertinent meeting.
  • In conjunction with the LPN, RN and /or TME ensures health care recommendations are implemented from Individual Support Plans (ISP), medical appointments are completed by the required date and medications are administered according to regulations.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience working people with intellectual and development disabilities in a residential setting
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous supervisory experience is required
  • Valid local driver's license, three years of driving experience and acceptable driving record.
  • Incumbent is required to pass Criminal Background Check
  • TME Certification preferred
  • CPR/ First Aid Certification required
  • Complete annual PPD Tuberculosis Test
  • Complete annual Physical
  • Complete COVID-19 vaccination (including booster)
  • Must pass all required DDS Phase Trainings

Additional Position Specific Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • The position is considered an essential position which might require working outside of normal business hours, 9am-5pm (i.e. emergencies, natural disaster, emergency evacuation etc.)
  • On call 24 hrs a day
  • Ability to work a varied schedule which may include nights and weekends
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work without close supervision and exercise good judgement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
