Location: Proximity Hotel & O.Henry Hotel, Greensboro, North Carolina
Hours: Full Time

What are the responsibilities of Social Catering Sales Manager?
  • Effectively draw out and articulate a guest's event vision
  • Communicate clearly and perform consistently following the mission and values of the organization in our enthusiastic work environment
  • Be an advocate for our guests with all interactions, ensuring that each guest leaves feeling that their experience was beyond incredible
  • Sell overnight guestrooms blocks with a focus on our well-appointed guestrooms and attentive services
  • Sell group event space and catered food and beverage with a focus on our impressive selection of seasonal restaurant food
  • Be proactive with generating and prospecting appropriate leads
  • Manage and further develop account relationships by seeking to best understand our guests’ needs, present their vision consistently to our operations team and provide an event of their dreams
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and planners for social events
  • Have an active presence in the community through networking and building trusting relationships
  • Book optimal pieces of business considering rates, dates and space
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety, ensuring that our maintenance, security and sanitation standards are met at all times
  • Act as a leader with all interactions, ensuring that you take ownership of your intentions and other’s perceptions
What Skills and Experience are desired for Social Catering Sales Manager?
  • 2 plus years experience in hotel sales, catering and food & beverage with a previous record or demonstration of sales skills
  • Clear understanding of the sales process
  • Friendly, energetic and detail-oriented
  • Passion for hospitality
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and initiative
  • Experience with Salesforce/Amadeus Advanced (Delphi) a plus
