Job description
Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of all Hot Mill area cranes
- Scrap disposal using of mill cutting torches
- Operation of Hot Strip Mill sample shears
- Continuous observations and recording (written and electronic) of coil quality data.
- Operation of both automatic and manual strapping equipment
- Various utility functions assigned by area supervisor
- Strong safety awareness
- Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision
- Works well with others and independently
- Quality and detail oriented
- Mechanically inclined
- Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- Ability to work routinely in a hot environment.
- Repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting and walking will be required to support routine responsibilities.
