This is a fantastic opportunity to help our patients and assist our staff with "the small things" that make all the difference - from sitting and talking with patients, to delivering water and ice chips, to tidying up a patient's room. Even more - you have the flexibility to create your own consistent schedule! Do you prefer 2-hour shifts or 8-hour shifts? Weekdays or weekends? Morning or evening? Great - we'd love to have you for whatever days and times work best with your schedule! Are you a student who would love to gain hospital experience? Are you a parent who has a demanding schedule with their kids, but would love to get back into the workforce? Are you a retired healthcare worker who misses the interaction with patients? Great! This position will provide support to our various inpatient nursing units providing non-clinical support! This is a great way to explore a new career path, expand your skills, and even move into other roles withing the hospital in the future!
Purpose:
Focus on promoting patient and support person satisfaction to meet organizational quality of care standards.
Responsibilities:
- Stocking supplies
- Interacting with Patients to enhance their experience
- Assisting with meal trays
- Assisting patients with comfort needs (blanket, pillow, water, ice, etc.)
- Answering call lights

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
