We’re currently hiring qualified and energetic Home Care Aide II (Floater) to join our team of talented caregivers. The work hours will be (Monday - Friday 7:00a.m. - 3:00p.m.)

This person will be a C.N.A. certified caregiver who will assist with Homecare office coordination /scheduling and to fill in for Homecare residents for one on one as needed daily on site at retirement community and assist with future external Homecare expansion.


DUTIES
:

Job duties may include any/all of the following:

  • Cueing/Oversight
  • Supervision of daily activities
  • Household chores and/or cleaning
  • Laundry
  • Simple meal preparation
  • Assistance with meals for non-choking risk resident
  • Clothing prep and minor dressing assistance (with lower extremities)
  • Shopping
  • Driving/Transportation using the resident’s vehicle only.
  • Assistance with pet care
  • Medication supervision
  • Washing/setting hair

Nurse Aide Duties may include no more than two of the following tasks:

  • Assisting with mobility; transfers and/or ambulation
  • Spousal relief with bathing/showering (in care-giving spouse situations)
  • Spousal relief with toileting/incontinence care (in care-giving spouse situations)
  • Assist with eating with choking risk residents
  • Assistance with essential ADL’s on a short term basis (<3mo) as outlined in care plan.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Observe, record and report changes in condition
  • Punching in and out on a time-clock according to required job hours.
  • Adhere strictly to the written plan of care created by the RN Supervisor
  • Must be able to perform basic assessment of client both visually and verbally.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with residents regarding their needs.
  • Must be able to meet client’s needs as outlined in care plan.
  • Must be physically fit and strong enough to push wheelchairs, perform lifts or other job functions as required.
  • Encourage the client to be as active and independent as possible.
  • Keep environments safe for the client such as keeping floors clear of debris, keeping ambulatory pathways wide enough and clear of obstacles.
  • Know and observe Patient’s Bill of Rights.
  • Ability to learn new tasks as directed and operates equipment as required.
  • Attend in-service classes and staff meetings.
  • Maintain listing as Nurse Aide I in NC Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Be able to understand, speak and read English fluently.

Other tasks as directed by the Administrator, Supervisor or Outpatient

Services Coordinator

  • Help protect the confidentiality of each resident’s personal and medical file
  • Help maintain the respect, personal dignity and physical safety of each resident
  • Document personal care and special services rendered.
  • Responsible for reading, understanding and following:
    • 1. Springmoor Inclement Weather Plan
    • 2. Springmoor Fire and Safety Plan

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum age 18years of age.

Must be a high school graduate or have equivalent thereof (GED).

Must have Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Products)

Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.

A minimum of one-year experience in geriatrics or geriatric certification is desired.

Must be in good mental and physical condition.

Must be willing to follow instructions and cooperate with other personnel.

Must be dependable in reporting to work and performing duties.

Must be trustworthy and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Any needs outside of those specified by the Plan of Care should be reported to the Health Care Supervisor who may modify the plan.


LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:
Nurse Aide Certification is mandatory.
