Primary Responsibilities

• Work on a team with other project engineers to develop detailed engineering solutions for a variety of roadway projects
• Perform detailed engineering analysis under the supervision of Engineers and Project Managers
• Assist engineers with documenting engineering analysis and design decisions in detailed Design Reports
• Develop roadway geometry (horizontal layout and vertical profile), produce construction plans, construction cost estimates and other bid documents
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire; those hired without their EIT will have the title 'designer'
• Ability to develop designs using Microstation, GeoPAK, AutoTURN, AutoCAD, and other transportation design software packages
• Proficiency with MS Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• A committed attitude to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Bentley’s OpenRoads Designer (ORD) software, and Autodesk’s AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Preference will be given to local candidates
