SEH is currently searching for a talented Design Technician to join our team! This is a fully remote opportunity.

SEH's Highway Design Team keeps their eyes and minds on the road – their solutions impact how we travel across our highways and roadways. You will be part of an award-winning team which designs innovative solutions for traffic and corridor enhancements, and bridge and interchange designs using the latest technology. From the initial stages of the project of surveying and right-a-away acquisition to stakeholder engagement through complex design, environmental work and construction – you’ll find yourself immersed in life-lasting projects that get us where we need to go safely and efficiently

Typical Design Projects Include:

• Roadways
• Intersections
• Roundabouts
• Bridges
• Trails
• Storm sewer design
• Traffic signal design
• Hydraulic modeling for county, state and federal clients.

Required Qualifications:

• Six (6) to Nine (9) years of experience
• Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Occasional overnight travel will be required
• Experience in highway design and construction of DOT projects
• Working proficiency using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other applicable civil design software

Preferred Qualifications:

• Reside in the state of WI
• Relevant municipal street design and construction
• Experience in highway design and construction of WisDOT projects
