The teacher will work to: Create a welcoming, engaging learning environmentPrepare and deliver lessons plansCommunicate with students in an understandable, effective way about daily lessons and instructionsProvide a variety of learning materials for use in educational activitiesDevelop flexible, effective teaching tools and methods to help students learn mathematicsObserve and evaluate students performance and developmentMaintain accurate and complete records of students progress and developmentManage student behavior in the classroom enforcing school rules of behavior, class participation and conductProvide extra assistance for students with academic challenges to support their math courseworkSupport your schools success, partnering with staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagementQualificationsMust meet state specific guidelines for the role.Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practicesA deep curiosity about life and love for learningThe certified application is available in the high school office or on our website at www.elkton.k12.or.us.
