SHOP AND FIELD MECHANIC – Elko, NV
Heavy equipment rental and sales company in Elko, NV looking for a hardworking and self-motivated Shop and Field Mechanic.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

**LEAD FIELD MECHANIC SODA SPRINGS** (5 DAYS PER WEEK)

Looking for 3 top technicians to work the "7 on 7 off" shift. You will work 7-12 hour days with 4 hours OT per day. Then get the next 7 days off !

Don't live in Elko NV ? We have housing available for your 7 day shift ! Then you can go home on your off days ! Send those resumes !

The Shop and Field Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing all makes and models of new and used heavy equipment. As the position involves working in the field, travel to our clients’ job sites will be required. This will be a shop/ field mechanic which will involve travel to mine sites in the greater Elko area, as well as occasional trips to job sites in neighboring states such as Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. We are looking with appositive attitude and a team spirit. Safety is a priority.

MSHA certification is required to apply.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform major machine and component overhauls
• Fluent in Cat ET and SIS, Volvo tech tool, JD LINK and Cummins insight.
• Diagnose, estimate and complete repairs in the and field
• Significant knowledge of Cat rigid frame haul trucks.
• Shovels, Cat and Hitachi
• Communicate with customers and company staff about mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Washing equipment
• Rental check ins and check outs

Yard and facility Responsibilities

• Keep yard and equipment clean and organized
• Keep shop and work area clean and tidy daily

EDUCATION

• High School diploma, GED or trade school equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

· Minimum of five years of heavy equipment mechanic experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND LICENSING:

· MSHA certification is required to apply.

Ability to work with limited supervision

Experience with heavy construction equipment repair

Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrical systems

Physical dexterity is required. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
