Job Title: Shop Maintenance Tech

Looking for a multi-versed mechanic who enjoys working on multiple makes and models of heavy equipment. There is something new every day. In this position you will have the opportunity to repair equipment in our shop as well as travel to different quarry locations.

Wendling Quarries, Inc. (WQI) is a third-generation family owned and operated business that produces crushed stone, sand and gravel for individuals and businesses in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

Job Duties:

• Making repairs to heavy construction equipment as well as our fleet of trucks
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues
• Ability to learn to operate all types of construction equipment
• General welding and fabrication skills a plus

Job Requirements:

• Ability to get CDL- Class A (WQI will help)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Understanding of basic mechanics and working knowledge of large equipment
• Acceptable driving record
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication skills

Hours: Monday - Friday. On average works 50 to 55 hour weeks depending on the season.
