The Healthcare Data Analyst designs, produces, and analyzes reporting data. Creates and maintains reports for business operations and special projects. Utilizes knowledge of numerous databases, information systems, statistical tools, and analytical principles to monitor and analyze information to drive improvement, increase efficiency and implement best practices. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and have an analytical mind and inclination for problem solving. The Healthcare Data Analyst must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and must be able to analyze large datasets. Prior Clinical knowledge is strongly desired. Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should have experience with Power BI, SQL, Cognos, and other applications, and must also be experienced in designing, developing, and deploying data visualization including dashboards.

  • Maintains knowledge of technology and systems to ensure proficiency.
  • Stays up-to-date of changes in reporting needs to make updates to standard reports.
  • Gathers and organizes data to create reports from integrated systems.
  • Reviews data to ensure accuracy and validity for reports.
  • Generates existing reports.
  • Runs queries of data to satisfy request.
  • Reviews data entered into systems to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Monitors validity of data provided to users to ensure data quality.
  • Corrects errors and resolves discrepancies with data and reports to ensure data quality.
  • Provides data entry assistance to the organization to improve efficiency.
  • Creates presentations to communicate data in visual and written formats.
  • Generates reports from eCW Registry, eBO and BridgeIT.
  • Provides reports to / from THN or insurance companies.
  • Assists with creation and maintenance of fee schedules and payer allowable schedules.
  • Runs existing reports for all Eagle departments.
  • Creates new reports as requested by other Eagle employees.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, professionalism, high productivity, efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, and creativity in organizing, coordinating and executing tasks and duties.
  • Appropriately takes the initiative on some issues / projects, and appropriately seeks advance input / support / approval before proceeding on other issues / projects.
  • Effective in prioritizing own duties and dealing with work pressures and demands. Appears to have a reasonable balance between work and personal needs.
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations as indicated.

  • Attends meetings as required. Ability to attend meetings as early as 7am. Occasional evening meetings.
  • Writes legibly and with correct grammar and sentence structure.
  • Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and maintains security of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Does not exhibit, divulge, copy, or remove the contents of any record except to fulfill work assignments.
