Healthcare Assistant

Location – The Wellington Hospital / Platinum Medical Centre, 15-17 Lodge Rd, St John's Wood, London NW8 7JA

This role is a 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday and the service is covered between 8am – 8pm based on internal rotation.

The salary for this role is £23,000 - £28,000 this will be dependent on experience + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)

Job Description

As the Healthcare Assistant under the direction of the registered nurse, you will carry out observations, investigations and basic treatments as required. You will also oversee chaperoning of patients and assisting medical staff with day to day duties.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Roles and responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
• Ordering and maintaining stock
• Chaperoning consultants
• Chaperoning radiologist and assisting with breast biopsies in the ultrasound room
• Supporting administrative functions
• Preparing clinics
• Cleaning and daily checklists for department
• Supporting departmental audit

Skills & Experience

• Phlebotomy – desirable but not essential
• Previous Healthcare Assistant experience within a hospital setting is essential
• NVQ in Health and Social Care is desirable
