This is a 12-month fixed term post based at University Hospital Monklands working on a full time variable shift pattern.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care assistance with routine examination duties for patients, in support of (and supervised by), a registered nurse clinician. The post holder will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy. The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward department environment.

Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.

Knowledge, Training Or Experience Required

  • Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
  • Required to undertake on the job training and induction
  • Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Ability to provide a seven-day service which includes weekend working
