Job description
Looking for a new challenge? Would you like to help support young people in school and the community? A part time vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker (Band 3) to join the team.

This post will be within the Community Children’s Nursing Team but will initially be based within a special needs school within Hull. The successful applicant will join a well-motivated, friendly and supportive team who encourage personal and professional development.

You will have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills within an innovative and creative environment. Although this is an annualised contract there may initially be an option for flexible working to facilitate consolidated hours across the school term.

As an integral part of the team, the post holder will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and have recent child health experience, as well as being flexible to work with different staff teams providing nursing care across Hull & East Riding as needed. The service covers both acute and complex conditions, phlebotomy and wound clinics.

We also incorporate palliative and end of life care when needed. We strive to provide a seamless and transparent service and would welcome prospective applicants to make contact with the service for an informal discussion, should they want to get a feel for the role before application.

For all enquiries please contact Jayne Lowther - Clinical Manager Community Nursing Team on 07964 686827 or email: jayne.lowther@nhs.net
