TELLER SUPERVISOR

Description/Job Summary

Prepares reports and audits as needed. Performs regular teller duties including the following: receives and pays money to bank customers and maintains accurate record keeping of deposits and withdrawals, negotiable instruments, and other bank transactions.

Location: Parkersburg

Status: Full time

Hours Needed: Schedule varies between the hours of Mon-Fri, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities/Duties

1. Must be able to answer questions, resolve problems, assist with complex transactions and sensitive customer problems, and administer policies and procedures applicable to the teller role.

2. Assists with training for new tellers and ongoing training as needed.

3. Responsible for regulatory compliance.

4. Greets customers and handles paper and cash transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, accepting loan payments, and sale of negotiable instruments.

5. Assists in granting customers access to safe deposit boxes when necessary.

6. Processes mail and night drop transactions.

7. Complete wire form instructions

8. Maintains files as required including signature cards, night deposit log and mail log.

9. Prepares holds on deposits.

10. Familiar with forms such as CTRs, SARs, and refer to BSA reporting as necessary.

11. Balances teller drawer at the end of each shift and other end of day duties that may be necessary.

12. Print customer checks in-house

13. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

14. Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.

15. Requires standing for most of the workday.

16. Requires lifting, carrying, or moving heavy boxes or bags of currency or coin weighing up to 45 pounds.

Preferred Skills

Exceptional communication skills including ability work with customers on difficult situations.

Ability to provide feedback to employees in a courteous and professional manner.

Skill in operating computer workstation and printers, back counter capture machine, coin machine and copier.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in a high-paced environment.
Ability to function as a team player.

Preferred Experience

Prefer minimum of 1-3 years of teller experience, previous supervisory/leadership experience is a plus.

Knowledge of bank products, policies, and procedures.

Knowledge of general banking principles preferred with willingness to participate in educational opportunities.

Knowledge of basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

High school graduate or equivalent
