About the Team

The Partners Team builds and manages mutually beneficial relationships with leading Learning Management Systems (LMSs), Learning Experience Platforms (LXPs), HR Platforms and other technology companies that distribute, bundle and/or refer OpenSesame's enterprise elearning solution to organizations around the world. We work hand in hand with the Sales and Marketing teams to collectively accomplish our goals.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, resourceful, relentless, process-oriented, hands-on and caring Partner Leader who excels at executing a growth plan while building strategic relationships internally and with partners. You will identify and target strategic channel partners, understand and navigate complex organizations and implement game-changing partnership models to help build OpenSesame to the clear, worldwide leader in enterprise business training over the next three years.

Job Description

  • You are responsible for overseeing strategic business opportunities and building relationships to further enhance our position in the elearning industry.
  • Prospect inbound and outbound partners in both tried and novel market segments globally – schedule and lead discovery meetings, prepare and deliver presentations and structure partnership models and proposals.
  • Manage and prioritize a growing and complex business opportunity pipeline while balancing multiple projects and requests at once.
  • Design pre-onboarding plans for all new partners and work with Strategic Partner Managers on rapid, seamless and effective handovers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of OpenSesame products and positioning to keep us ahead of our competition. Contribute new ways to present OpenSesame's value proposition and work with Marketing in the development of corporate collateral.
  • Design and lead multidisciplinary growth initiatives and projects aimed at evolving our partner program.
  • Evaluate ways to improve our internal processes to scale the business.
  • Provide input for, track and deliver against our objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Manage, mentor and develop, as well as contribute individually in the daily job function and duties of junior teammates. Like all management positions at OpenSesame, this is a player/coach role.

Performance Objectives

In your first 30 days, become knowledgeable of the current product offering and the way in which it is sold and distributed. You'll have a full understanding of the breadth and depth of OpenSesame's partner ecosystem and prospective partner pipeline, and you will deliver a targeted list of ways to improve and expand existing channel partnership models.

In your first 90 days, research, schedule and deliver 15 discovery sessions with potential new channel partners. During these sessions you will be able to clearly deliver the OpenSesame story and value proposition to partners. The activity will be documented and maintained in Salesforce.

In your first 180 days, evolve and execute a comprehensive partner acquisition/development plan to include current technical integration partners, prospective LMS and HR Platform partners as well as potential partners in new market segments. The plan will cover all development stages, from outreach to onboarding. In your first year, collaborate with stakeholders to identify and recommend internal process improvements. You will work collaboratively with Marketing to develop key pieces of collateral to educate our partners and prospects on the value of the partnership, product offerings, technical integrations, etc.
