Position Summary:

We are looking for a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to provide financial leadership and support to the Welch's Finance team. This individual will report to the Chief Financial Officer in a highly visible position to the entire executive team, including the CEO. They will work alongside their partners on the Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, and Accounting teams to lead consolidating and presenting financial results, forecasts and budgets. They will partner closely with the executive leaders of the IT team, R&D team, HR team, and National Grape team to develop and monitor budgets, provide ad hoc financial analysis and review results.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide strategic analysis to identify key drivers of financial trends broadly across the company
  • Lead and improve monthly and quarterly reporting with the ability to identify KPI's and explain variances within results
  • Lead the development of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasting process across financial functions including developing materials to present to the executive team and the board of directors
  • Partner cross-functionally within the finance function to:
    • Proactively identify business drivers with the Commercial Finance team across all sales channels
    • Partner with Supply Chain Finance to evaluate the impacts of results
    • Partner with Accounting to analyze results and ensure GAAP reporting
  • Oversee process to define and deliver ad hoc analysis, standard reports, and recommendations to CFO and executive team
  • Assist with developing the 3-year Strategic Growth Plan by partnering across the organization to evaluate the financial impact of initiatives and model out scenarios to inform decisions
  • Define the best-in-class future state of the Financial Planning and Analysis organization
    • Identify opportunities to automate historically manual processes and reporting
    • Recruit, retain, and develop talent
    • Identify and recommend opportunities for cross-training with the broader team
    • Review existing processes for improvement and efficiencies
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial and operational information at an executive level to the CEO, CFO, CTO, and the executive leadership team
  • Work closely with the IT team to develop and manage budgets and evaluate the financial impact of opportunities identified
  • Lead the selection and implementation of financial analysis and reporting software to replace a legacy system
  • Engage with the IT team to assist with planning and execution of an ERP implementation
  • Identify and evaluate risks and opportunities for the business
  • Ensure sufficient financial controls to protect the business

  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes with the ability to identify profit drivers and knowledgeably speak to the state of the business on a day-to-day basis
  • Skilled problem solver with ability to look at business situations with a productive balance of strategic and tactical thinking and drive towards effective and practical solutions
  • Experience transforming the financial function from reactive to proactive, while improving financial controls, policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in finance department experience with at least 2 years leading a FP&A function
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required;
  • Graduate degree in business or finance and CPA are preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing a team of Finance professionals
  • Consumer packaged goods or food/beverage industry experience is preferred
  • Experience leading financial reporting, financial analysis, and budgeting processes
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and influence peers to achieve goals
  • Able to effectively work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • No travel required but may be opportunities for infrequent trips.
