Job Summary
We are excited to announce that University Sports Grill, located on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe, is looking for dedicated HEAD COOKS and LINE COOKS in preparation for our up and coming grand opening! This restaurant/bar is a fun and fast environment, and we are interested in motivated cooks to match the energy Mill Ave has to offer.
Secondary Job Functions
- Able to communicate and work as a Team Player
- Cook menu items in compliance with company's expectations (presentation & quality)
- Can manage high volume food orders; delivering consistent results in a timely manner
- Takes pride in keeping work space tidy and sanitized throughout each shift
- Setup/breakdown and stock station(s)
- Compliant with nutrition, sanitizing regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain positive and professional etiquette with coworkers and customers
- Prior food prep and inventory experience is a plus
Requirements
- Current Food Handler Certification (can provide assistance in acquiring)
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures in addition to standard culinary knowledge
- Able to stand continuously up to 8 hours
- Appropriate attire for the safety and sanitary needs of oneself and others
- Punctual
- Excellent Attendance
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
