Job Summary

We are looking for a Hardware Technician in Ashburn, VA for a 6-12+ month contract-to-hire position with our client in the Real Estate and Facilities Management Industry. Work hours will be 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and there may be some OT or shift rescheduling to nights and on weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required, BS or AA preferred
• 2-5+ years as a Hardware Technician
• Strong experience installing and configuring computer hardware systems
• Candidate must have ability to multi-task with complex technical issues and have customer-focused personality

Responsibilities

• Rack & Stack IT equipment
• Cabling
• Trouble Shooting (take a circuit and locate issues, testing, and replacing)
• Copper cable terminations
• Making sure there is end-to-end with activity
• Checking all installed cabling.
• Copper is correct, tested, and get signal on devices
• Be able to do physical work i.e. climbing up and down ladders
• Place Cabinets on the Floor per supplied drawing
• Install/remove hardware in cabinet
• Survey cable requirements, distance, type
• Terminate Cat6 cabling
• Install Cat6 and Fiber cables per provided Excel spreadsheet
• Trace/Troubleshoot installed cables

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
