LEGO® Discovery Center Boston- Guest Experience Host - Admissions & Retail

Opening in spring 2023 following a $12 million renovation, LEGO® Discovery Center Boston will give families in Boston and across the northeast the opportunity to experience highly interactive indoor LEGO® play experiences including a ride, 4D theatre, LEGO® Space digital experience, DUPLO® Park, Hero Zone, and Creative Club among other immersive experiences.

We are looking for enthusiastic Guest Experience Hosts to help us create magical memories for our guests in Boston’s ultimate indoor LEGO experience!

About the Roles

Do you love LEGO? Do you like kids? If this sounds like you then join in the fun as a Guest Experience Host with a focus on Admissions and Retail at LEGO® Discovery Center Boston.


You will work within our Admissions & Retail department, seeking out opportunities for exceptional guest interaction at every opportunity! Our team members work across both elements of our Admissions and Retail areas, gaining transferrable skills across our business and delivering a consistent, outstanding, and memorable guest journey. Compensation for this role is $15.50/hour.

When in an Admissions role you will:

  • Greet and welcome guests with eye contact and a smile
  • Answer questions about attraction ticket packages and pricing
  • Direct and assist guests on kiosk purchases
  • Sell/Scan tickets and annual passes at point of sale
  • Learn and execute upselling sales targets
  • Facilitate admission for groups, field trips, and birthday parties
  • Delivery personalized interactions to guests (welcome back Annual Pass holders, wish Happy Birthday, etc.)


When in a Retail role you will:

  • Be the friendly face that welcomes customers.
  • Answer questions about LEGO® lines, products, and releases to customers. Provide recommendations for purchase if asked.
  • Operate point of sale automated systems.
  • Achieve revenue goals and sales targets.
  • Restock merchandise.
  • Be “Guest Obsessed” and provide exemplary customer service.

About You

  • Passion for guest experience with a focus on fun!
  • Desire to work the tourism/attraction industry.
  • Strong work ethic and proven ability to problem solve, use initiative, and multi-task.
  • Previous retail and transactional experience with strong interpersonal skills are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift to 40 pounds. Physical role, pushing, pulling, bending twisting, and kneeling.
  • Flexible availability, especially during our industry’s peak business days on weekends, holidays, and school breaks.
  • Must be 16 years of age.
