Job Description
  • Support the primary reporting function within the LOB. Works with other groups in the Bank for any reporting /data /analytics as needed.
  • Assist SPM with identification of quarterly review populations, including the 5 review and Enhanced Review credits determining the priority of these credits and reviews.
  • Interprets and verifies analysis received from US Risk Management Risk Analytics and Infrastructure teams, and other groups within CIBC.
  • Aggregates disparate CRE data for portfolio management reporting, as needed.
  • Assists in management of CRE’s data (collection, input and validation). Organize data for submission during internal and external exams and audits, and interact with Regulators and auditors during these reviews.
  • Develop alternative methods to support monitoring portfolio movements to ensure the LOB remains within set risk limits as well as desired business mix.
    • Enhance portfolio forecasting capabilities through use of available data.
    • Use advanced analytics to supplement existing forecasting practices considering historical and anticipated payoffs, origination activity, and loan fundings.
  • Develop insights for desired portfolio mix, including geography, clients, and property type, through the use of CRE portfolio data and data obtained from external sources, to inform CRE strategy and establish risk appetite.
  • Utilize historical CRE data to understand the lifecycle of a loan as deals progress through the origination/ underwriting and closing process, to support overall portfolio management and origination activities.
  • Develop processes and/or controls to ensure all data and documentation captured through the origination process is accurate, complete, accomplished in a timely manner
  • Operate as a liaison with other departments and has the experience and knowledge to effectively communicate the needs of the business unit.
