First City Recovery Center LLC is a substance abuse treatment center in Kokomo, IN. Group Facilitators are responsible for running, leading, and documenting client group sessions, following the guidelines of treatment from mental health professionals, and regularly reporting any progress or problems. Group Facilitators are enthusiastiac about teaching and talking with the clients, and bring energy to the curiculum that the clients are learning.

1. Demonstrates knowledge of chemical dependency and addictions and utilizes knowledge and skills to access and meet the client’s treatment needs and requirements.

2. Document notes in each client chart in the required time frame.

3. Conducts and leads educational, chemical dependency, and other groups as assigned.

4. Ability to work as a team member, demonstrating maturity under stress and objectivity.

5. Demonstrates good communication skills.

6. Performs in a professional manner and role models a positive image of substance abuse.

7. Reports abuse of clients’ rights immediately.

8. Participates in obtaining the client’s informed consent for procedures, treatments, and research, as appropriate.

9. Acts decisively and effectively in managing staff, clients, and other employees during emergency situations.

10. Performs other capacities as needed.

11. Being sensitive to the culture and diversity of each patient.

13. Ability of competency and understanding of Addiction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• CPR/First AID
• Ability to multi-task
• Computer Competency preferred
• Flexibility

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
