Job description

The Hilton DFW Lakes located in Grapevine Texas has an opening for a full time Grounds person.

Duties of the position include:

· Operate assorted hand tools and mowing equipment.
Maintain appearance of grounds by mowing, trimming, weed eating, removing trash and leaves daily from sidewalks, grounds, landscaping and parking lots 
Keep shop, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition.

· Operate power equipment including riding mower, hand tools, blowers, weed eaters and utility vehicles required for ground maintenance and landscaping

· Maintain grounds equipment and tools in proper working order. Perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment and tools as required

This position requires 1 year previous experience in grounds maintenance/landscaping with experience operating zero turn mowers and utility carts.

Must be able to read and understand verbal and written instructions.

Education/Certification: Must have a valid Texas driving license

EQUIPMENT USED: Tractor and mower, riding and power mower, gas-powered weed trimmer, blower, edger, sprayer, garden and hand tools, and aerator.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: walking, standing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Able to lift up to 50 pounds above head. This position works outside over 15 acres in all seasons with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, and loud noises.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
