Job Description


AECOM
is seeking a Graphic Designer to assist our Design and Consulting Services Marketing Group. This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules with an expectation to go into an AECOM office periodically and can be based out of Sacramento, CA, Orange, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Austin, TX or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities and Duties will include, but not be Limited to:

  • Collaborating with teams to create graphics for a variety of marketing collateral, pursuits, presentations, conference materials, and digital media
  • Design of proposal graphics such as org charts, tables, schedules, process diagrams, infographics, and maps
  • Designs, formats, and manages well-designed multi-page documents using master pages, layers, styles, and pagination
  • Designs, formats, and manages PowerPoint presentations and graphics
  • Understands resolution and production standards for both print and digital media
  • Able to design within vendor specifications
  • Implements interactive PDF elements including hyperlinks, basic buttons, and bookmarks
  • Performs high-quality image sourcing and retouching, with emphasis on color correction
  • Engages in entire design process from project initiation to completion
  • Develops and identifies solutions to complex design problems with ingenuity and innovation
  • Creates custom graphics to support messaging and themes, compliant with criteria
  • Supports finalization of documents for production, packaging or shipping
  • Demonstrates adherence to QA/QC standards, with a strong eye for detail
  • Ability to self-manage multiple design tasks for a pursuit and deliver quality work on schedule
  • Acts as brand champion
  • Translating written or verbal technical information into infographics or diagrams
  • Creating custom graphics to support messaging and themes
  • Logistical and technical support for pursuit and presentation process
  • Developing solutions to complex design problems with ingenuity and innovation


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS and 2 years of relevant graphic design experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graphic Design experience with a firm in the Architecture, Engineering or Construction industry is a plus.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) applications
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficient in design fundamentals, including strong understanding of typography, grid systems, layout and resolution
  • Proficient in print production and digital media
  • A working knowledge of digital collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • Familiarity with the latest industry graphic design best practices, technology, procedures, tools and techniques
  • Working within brand guidelines
  • Working with internal clients and provides multiple solutions to communicate objectives
  • Ability to work with other designers as part of a collaborative effort to complete a project
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback with diplomacy
  • Understanding of presentation design and production
  • Understanding of interactive PDF elements
  • Understanding of large format printing and exhibit systems
  • Understanding of the company’s integrated services and capabilities
  • Understanding of print and digital media, reprographics and production process
  • Understanding of the pursuit process and incorporates key messaging and themes using effective visual communication in compliance with evaluation criteria
