Do you have a specialized skill, can you help with tutoring and homework or love to draw, dance or so many other things? Positions available for programs offered throughout Greater Waterbury. Candidates must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation, must be creative, dynamic, enjoying working with girls of all ages in an all-girl environment and be able to assist in providing a nurturing and fun program experience. Experience working with children a must.

Archery, Ceramics, Musical Instruments, LEGO Robotics, Magic/Illusion, Sports (all), Yoga/Meditation

These are just some of the programs we’re looking at for this year. We are always asked about new programs! Share your talent and skills with our girls, you’ll be glad you did!

Programs typically run at least one day during week and/or Saturday

Candidates must be a detail oriented professional, creative writer and advocate for girls’ programming. The Grants Coordinator will be responsible for researching and writing compelling grant proposals and reports regarding program outcomes and impact to funders and financial partners. The successful candidate is comfortable researching opportunities, understanding our program model and delivery, writing a compelling proposal, communicating with program team as well as leadership team, tracking and reporting on funded projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with program and leadership team to identify potential funding opportunities and specific program budgets
  • Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of the organization.
  • Research grant opportunities from local and community funders, government and non-government agencies, etc.
  • Draft and submit grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization
  • Maintain positive relationships with funders and other stakeholders
  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities, respond to inquiries and questions on proposals
  • Full understanding of our program model, outcomes, diversity of membership and members’ experience
  • At least 5 years experience with proven track record of securing funding for non-profit, youth organizations.
  • BS degree in communications, journalism, English or related field. In lieu of degree, current enrollment and/or completion of relevant undergraduate college courses and grant writing certification will be considered.
