Purpose: The Graduate Coordinator executes strategies for graduate student recruitment, enrollment, and support in the School of Business. The Coordinator supports graduate programs including but not limited to the Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership programs. This role helps ensure that the School of Business maintains strong graduate enrollment, to serve the graduate education needs of the Cincinnati area and beyond.


Duties:


Serves as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic proponent of School of Business graduate programs at business, education, and community functions, events, and conferences. Plans and participates in School of Business recruitment events, in coordination with School of Business and Admission personnel. Tracks and follows up with contacts and student prospects, connecting them to faculty and administration in the School of Business or other MSJ personnel as appropriate.


Works closely with the Dean and faculty of the School of Business to develop and enhance partnerships with key business, education and community organizations, including but not limited to site visits. Assists the Dean and other School leaders in assessing graduate education needs in the Cincinnati area and beyond.


Coordinates with Admission staff and School of Business Program Directors in promptly responding to inquiries, answering questions, tracking, and following up with applicants to School of Business graduate programs. Works with "stop out" students on program re-entry.


Tracks and reports on the effectiveness of recruitment strategies in the School of Business relative to enrollment goals. Proposes additional recruitment strategies or refinements to current strategies based on documented best practices in graduate recruiting.


Serves as central point of contact for graduate students in the School of Business, answering questions and directing students to support services as needed. At the direction of the Program Directors and in consultation with the Registrar's Office, works with the School of Business Administrative Assistant to register students in graduate courses.


Primary Contacts:
Internal or external contacts which require considerable tact and persuasive skills to obtain action, consent, or approval. A high degree of diplomacy may be required to influence or persuade persons with different viewpoints to obtain desired results. May represent the University to the public.
