What We Need
FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a Global Director of Airline Sourcing within our Hotel Connections division. This position falls under our Lodging line of business and can sit anywhere in the United States. In this role, you will manage a global team of Sourcing Managers and Analysts in North and South America (The Americas), Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific (APAC), and Australia regions. You will report directly to the VP, Hotel Network and will regularly collaborate with various teams.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Coordinating the involvement of teams to meet RFP objectives and customer expectations
  • Ensuring the procurement strategies and processes are in place to meet the objectives of the RFPs in terms of prices, quality and delivery targets
  • Overseeing special projects/cost savings goals submitted by clients
  • Providing training support to team, work RFPs, and compose market intel reports
  • Managing the weekly team time trackers and providing monthly and yearly reporting to leadership
  • Maintaining databases for Global Reps, transport companies and brand/management portfolios
  • Keeping Hotel Network SharePoint updated
  • Reviewing and editing market intel for publishing to client hotel evaluation reports
  • Handling the signing of Universal agreements for Private Aviation department
  • Reviewing and editing of Fee Agreements
  • Aligning RFP tool for onboarding of new client markets and hotels
  • Working to improve proprietary RFP tool through tracking and monitoring of tickets, suggested enhancements, and feedback on platform performance
  • Troubleshooting user issues with hotel vendors and internal users for RFP tool
  • Working collaboratively with other departments/teams – i.e. IT, Client Services
  • Working with Business Development team on presentations
  • Providing Business Development team cost analysis reports for potential clients.
  • Working with implementation team with onboarding of new clients: Sourcing timelines, number of markets to be sourced and contracted
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external customers
  • Managing strategic Hotel chain/brand relationships – Quarterly meetings, sending monthly spend reports, sharing pipeline reports to Global team
  • Following up on inquiries for business with GT vendors and Hotels
  • Maintaining adequate staffing levels for the team and leading interviews and the hiring process
  • Handling the onboarding of new employees and Service Now requests for team
  • Managing training protocols and schedules
  • Providing performance coaching and progressive disciplinary processes as needed to maintain and/or improve team and individual performance
  • Developing and monitoring goals for team
  • Handling all annual employee reviews
  • Managing PTO requests and schedules
  • Keeping department processes up to date
  • Ensuring the workload of the team is balanced and due dates are met
  • Traveling to attend trade shows and/or hotel site visits for clients (5-10 times a year)
  • Handling other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • Travel industry knowledge (Airline and Hotel experience is strong preferred)
  • Procurement, Buying experience
  • Relationship management
  • Demonstrated training experience
  • Project Management
  • Team leadership and collaboration
  • Negotiation and contract management abilities
  • Ability to travel (5-10 times a year)
