The Global Carrier Automation Specialist is responsible for carrier automation initiatives across all clients, carriers, and geographical regions. This role serves as an automation advocate to promote electronic data processing (EDP) or electronic data interchange (EDI) formats and performs extensive data analysis, mapping, and testing with the goal of providing timely, high- quality deliverables. This role will work and coordinate with internal departments, regional offices, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) providers and carriers.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Builds and tests electronic invoicing solutions for carriers via data mapping using EDI ANSI X12, CSV, EDIFACT, XML, XLS, and Webform formats, ensuring the ed product meets operational and system requirements for the client.
  • Analyzes Customer Requirement Documents (CRD) and Technical Requirements Documents (TRD) to ensure solution compliance and data requirements are met.
  • Coordinates and leads internal review meetings facilitating solution development that includes multiple departments such as IT, B2B, Client Relations, and Audit.
  • Creates and implements test plans, thoroughly documenting results and any necessary adjustments.
  • Ensures implementation solution is smooth and meets project timelines and quality standards.
  • Develops, documents, and maintains standardized carrier automation procedures.
  • Documents and reports significant issues discovered during carrier file testing or processing to business owners and leadership in a timely manner.
  • Thoroughly analyze issues and requests, including technical changes to processing systems and clearly communicate solutions to stakeholders.
  • Creates and maintains a detailed project log and process improvement activities.
  • Shares knowledge of duties with fellow employees, including mentoring and training less experienced staff.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite with Intermediate level experience in Excel.
  • Intermediate experience with SQL with demonstrated ability to build complex queries.
  • Understanding and direct working experience with EDI or EDP files, including but not limited to x-12, xml, xls, csv, and webform.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong, well-developed interpersonal skills, to communicated effectively to internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to successfully perform the job with little direct supervision.
  • Previous experience working on multiple projects at once while maintaining a strong level of detail.
  • Ability to establish project timelines and manage the process based on these guidelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years experience handling EDI or similar technical systems processes in an environment similar to Cass.
  • 3-5 years of experience using SQL queries to obtain and/or analyze data.
  • Previous logistics experience preferred.
