Camp Chateaugay has a summer opportunity for a glass-blowing director to run our glass blowing program from June through August 2023. The responsibilities include managing our studio which includes a 200 pound furnace, along with two reheating ovens, two cooling ovens and two flame stations. In addition to that, the candidate would oversee three other glassblowing instructors as they teach children ages 12 to 15 years old for approximately 5 hours a day. During their free time, candidates will have the ability to blow glass using our state-of-the-art studio and over 20,000 lbs of Moreno glass at no charge. The position is from June through August 2023. Camp Chateaugay is a coed, sleepaway camp that is located in the beautiful Adirondack mountains in northern New York State. Salary, room & board and travel allowance are provided.
