A General Manager is responsible for managing daily hotel operations and providing overall leadership in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. We're seeking for a leader driven by passion and the mentality to succeed. Our leader will be responsible for developing a culture of high standards, strong employee morale and a vision for superior performance in exceeding budgetary obligations, high guest satisfaction scores, brand quality assurance compliance as well as company expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be fully responsible for the overall strategic performance of the property, including staff, brand compliance, Yielding, Market penetration, community relations and partnerships with CVB and Chamber of commerce.

You will partner with our marketing team to attract new guests by providing excellent customer service that contributes to the experience of our guests.

Maintaining the property and making sure it is clean and presentable at all times.

To ensure success, you will analyze, prepare, and manage the operational budget of the Hotel in order to improve and maximize profitability.

As Hotel Ambassador, you will provide outstanding customer service to our guests.

Job Requirements

General Manager Qualifications & Responsibilities

  • Highly hands-on position with involvement in prospecting, qualifying, and closing business
  • Knowledgeable of Quality Assurance and Franchise Compliance
  • Strong customer service skills & strong guest satisfaction skills
  • Financial leadership to manage labor, expenses and hotel budget
  • Requires good communication skills to relate to guests, employees, and management company
  • Must have excellent team leadership skills and the ability to train & motivate employees
  • Previous experience as a Select Service or Extended Stay General Manager with a major hotel brand (i.e. Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt or IHG) strongly preferred.
  • Manages all assigned departments to effectively support the hotel’s operations and effectiveness. Ensures that guest service exceeds expectations and resolves any complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manages and assigns duties and shifts for assigned workers and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
  • Confers and cooperates with other department heads to ensure coordination of hotel activities.
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
  • Advises department managers of any operating and expenditure fluctuations and ensures adherence to hotel financial plans.
  • Works closely with the Accounting Manager and Front Office Manager to ensure financial operations are running smoothly.
  • As designated manager on duty, may patrol public rooms, investigate disturbances, and warn troublemakers.
  • Responsible for brand training and compliance of brand standards in all aspects of the hotel.
  • Responsible for managing operating expenses and purchasing for the departments.
  • Compiles and creates reports for the Regional Director and assists in communication with Corporate personnel as assigned.
  • Will work in various departments to meet the needs of the hotel.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
  • Local area market experience A PLUS.
  • Will be detail oriented and have excellent time management and strong computer skills, in addition to having excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be decisive, a strong leader, and an educated facilitator experienced in resolving conflicts.
  • Must have strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a “can do” attitude.
  • Must be able to exceed the expectations of our guests and our team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
