Retail General Manager in Training

The Wellsville Group, dba Ashley HomeStore is a successful Ashley HomeStore/Ashley Outlet licensee that operates throughout Western & Central New York (Buffalo to Syracuse & the southern tier), throughout Northeast Ohio (Cleveland suburbs, Akron & Canton) & Central Pennsylvania (Johnstown & Altoona). As a General Manager you will be responsible for the overall operational efficiency and staff development of an Ashley showroom or outlet location.

As an Ashley General Manager your responsibilities would include:

· Completing all operational duties according to Company policies & procedures including completion of weekly scheduling, payroll, reviewing sales orders, sales commission adjustment reports and sales error reports

· Providing store/employee feedback to Executive Management in order to establish store/individual improvement goals & succession planning

· Coordinating & handling communication & closure to customer service issues & inquiries in the most timely & cost effective manner

· Conducting motivating store meetings/ pre-shift line-ups. Attending & evaluating Selling Sales Manger line-ups covering hot topics, store goals & objectives

· Ensuring weekly location reports are current & results are reviewed with appropriate Sales personnel

· Energizing & motivating staff through positive communication & providing clear direction on delegation of responsibilities

· Ensuring the maintenance & presentation of the showroom location; including pricing, advertised events, merchandise & warehouse.

· Implementing & maintaining compliance to workplace safety standards & policies throughout the location

· Administering all written documentation for adherence to policy, procedure, & counseling's for the progressive disciplinary process & performance reviews for all employees at the location.

What type of Knowledge, Skills and Abilities are required to be a Leader with us?

· Prior sales or commission sales (preferable) experience desired. This position actively drives sales, coaches team members & assists in closing sales

· Professional & efficient oral & written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills, sense of ethics & confidentiality

· Adaptability, dependability resourcefulness, critical thinking, attention to detail & organized

· Ability to educate & motivate employees & establish & maintain effective working relationships.

· Must be able to lift, scoop, bend, push or pull up to 75 lbs. (with assistance) in manual demonstration of merchandise.

· Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, & holidays

Educational Qualifications/ Experience:

· High School Diploma or G.E.D

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
