Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Brook, IN within the manufacturing industry are looking for General Laborers. Our client has been in business for nearly 60 years!
General Laborer Job Description:
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, environmental compliance and follow all PPE and food regulation requirements and standards.
- Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.
- Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups or plugged dryers and stackers.
- Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean work areas.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
- Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
- Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
- Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment, such as conveyors.
- Work with various plastic bundle wrapping machines when assigned.
- Hand stack product as needed.
General Laborer Schedule:
- $16.64/hr
- 7:00 AM-7:00 PM or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
- Two-week work day rotation: 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off
- Work holidays (other than Christmas) if shift assigned
- Entire holiday work day is at the overtime rate
General Laborer Qualifications:
- Highschool/GED graduate
- Able to do lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 40 lbs) during the shift
- Must be able to stand, lift, twist, bend, climb, etc.
- Shift / hours flexibility unless otherwise agreed upon.
