Monday-Friday, 6 AM-2:30 PM PST
CONTRACT TERM
5 months with possible extension
POSITION OVERVIEW – General Labor I
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under close supervision of the head mechanic, perform various unskilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain the lubricant plant.
- Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material, and equipment needs.
- Operate scissor lifts to replace light bulbs and hang banners.
- Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas by hand or using trucks and other equipment.
- Work with the team in keeping the plant and maintenance shop clean in appearance, removing trash as required.
- Executes all work safely and professionally by completing all work accurately and on time.
- Attend work meetings and safety meetings required by the supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age before the appointment because of the hazards of the job, as defined by the Fair Labor Standard Act.
- 0-2 years of experience required
- Professional behavior, excellent work ethic, and on-time attendance are required
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and abide by rules and regulations
- Learn and perform maintenance assignments
- Read, write, and speak English at a level necessary for satisfactory job performance
- Team player and detail-oriented.
