Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:

Performing component manufacturing for off high-way steering equipment using robotic welders, lathe welders, presses, drill presses, and cut-off saws. Secondary processes on equipment for threading, splining, tumbling, and broaching for repeat production. Operate machines within time estimates to ensure on-time delivery and cost expectations.

Essential Requirements and Functions:

· Read/understand prints and dimensions.

· Strong aptitude in mathematics and the ability to calculate measurements and dimensions.

· Basic operation of shop equipment and hand tools.

· Call up programs on robotic welders for repeat production.

· Set-up fixtures and jigs for repeat production.

· Debur parts using hand tools and wire brush wheels.

· Ability to follow directions with close attention to detail and identify defects and critical features.

· Work independently and within team environments.

· Use of standard measurement tools to perform inspections. Tape measure, caliper, height stands and gages.

· Adjust work activities to fit customer demands and assist other employees as needed.

· Run plating line and maintain system.

· Keep a clean and safe work area, general maintenance of equipment as required.

· Communicate openly with staff members and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

· 5 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment.

· Knowledge of metal working and manufacturing

· Punctual attendance with a notable work history

Other Requirements:

· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and lifting requirements of 40lbs

· Ability to read and understand English

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
