Assemble, disassemble, rework, and repair various complete engines, their sub-assemblies, accessory units, and driven equipment in support of customer needs. Perform-overhaul of engines and sub-assemblies.

Working knowledge of turbo-machinery theory. Ability to adapt, modify, and make tool aids for special projects.

Maintain safe work environment and perform safety self-audits. Engage in continuous improvement efforts in turbine mechanic discipline, and in support of overall departmental goals.

Utilize working knowledge of turbomachinery to provide product support and technical assistance to internal and external customers. Disassemble and rebuild any Solar or customer turbo-machinery product. Have a basic understanding of machining, welding, and forming sheet metal. Have an understanding of thermocouples, pressure taps, and basic electronics.

Perform duties working from Shop Floor Information System, operation instruction sheets, assembly drawings, bills of material, photographs, written and or oral instructions. Apply computer skills to access and record electronic information in programs such as Shop Floor Information System.

Provide routine maintenance to shop tools and equipment. Inspect parts, components, and assemblies prior to installation. Job requires usage of various equipment/tools including precision measuring instruments, multi-meters, proximeter, bolt heater, hydraulic stretch tooling, pullers, torch, spot tacker, forklift, build stand elevator, and overhead crane.
Minimum Qualifications:

3 Years of Gas Turbine Mechanical Experience
-
Experience with Precision Measuring Devices (multi-meters, dial calipers, depth mics, etc.)

Blueprint Reading Experience
-
Experience with Forklift, Overhead Crane
-
SFIS Experience
-
Minimum Education: GED or Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Thermocouples wiring with termination experience
-
Experience in the following: Proximeter, bolt heater, hydraulic stretch tooling, pullers, torch, spot tacker, build stand elevator
-
Military Gas Turbine or Aviation Experience
-
A&P License

Base rate for this role ranges from $16.30, to $38.80. Actual rate will be based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

Summary Pay Range:
$16.23 - $38.80
