Overview:

Worlds of Fun has an opening for a Games Manager. This position will report to the Director of Merchandise and Games and will oversee the daily management of the Games department operation, while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction as well as guest and employee safety. The individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of all purchased products. Additionally, this person will supervise and review all seasonal management and line level staff.

  • Oversees the daily management of all Games operations which includes developing schedules, planning, assisting in hiring, training, motivation & incentive plans, and enforcing departmental and Park policies and procedures;
  • Responsible for delivering a high level of guest satisfaction while maximizing profitability from all locations;
  • Negotiates with vendors for the best price, terms and service while maintaining a professional relationship with all vendors;
  • Creating and adhering to a departmental budget;
  • Tracks the financial performance of the Games department and prepares reports as necessary;
  • Working with the Loss Prevention staff to minimize shrinkage in all areas;
  • Controls and monitors receiving and distribution from the warehouse locations, properly preparing all necessary paperwork;
  • All cycle counts for inventory including preparing reports and analyzing the data;
  • Work with Accounts Payable to ensure that all invoices are paid in a timely manner;
  • Help develop a plan for future years;
  • Responds to any Guest concerns that arise throughout the Division (and Park as needed), taking corrective action to ensure Guest satisfaction;
  • Assisting with other tasks throughout the Division and Park as needed.

Qualifications:

Requirements:
  • Theme Park Management and/or 1 ‑ 2 Years Related Experience
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; ability to work productively in teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks; good problem solver and decision maker under pressure.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a background check which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV.
  • Previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
