Full-Time Customer Service Representative

Bank of Pontiac is seeking professional, motivated, customer-service driven candidates for our Full-Time Customer Service Representative position at our Coal City branch. Bank of Pontiac opened its doors for business in 1947. We are a strong community bank offering a variety of financial services to both individuals and businesses for the people of Livingston County, Grundy County and their surrounding communities. Our Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) are the face of Bank of Pontiac within the communities we serve. Their role is crucial in retaining our existing customers as well as growing and developing new customer relationships by continually offering outstanding customer service and ensuring that Bank of Pontiac is meeting their financial needs.

Ideal candidates that would make great Bank of Pontiac CSRs’ are individuals who are flexible, customer-oriented, and ready to meet the needs of any Bank of Pontiac customer to the best of their ability.

Our Customer Service Representatives must possess: strong customer service skills, be community minded, team-oriented, dependable, flexible, be a quick learner, as well as highly motivated and be positive thinking.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Engage with customers to determine needs and to ensure that customers receive excellent service
  • Assist customers with routine account related transactions; opening and maintaining all types of personal and business accounts
  • Provide Customer Relations support to address complaints, fraud, as well as troubleshooting issues and providing solutions
  • Handling our Health Savings Accounts and all types of IRAs, including tax reporting
  • Maintain positive communications with customers and non-customers to develop new business and enhance relationships with existing customers
  • Go the “extra mile” to build trusting relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout your interactions
  • Educating customers and Promoting all Bank of Pontiac products and services offered
  • Adhere to Bank policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions based on Bank policies, knowledge and experience
  • Verify that all policies and procedures are followed and that the risk of fraud is minimized
  • Perform any and all other duties, as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma is required
  • 1+ years of Banking experience is preferred, but not required; we will train the otherwise qualified candidate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality
  • Must be willing to work every other Saturday

This is a full-time position working from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday and every other Saturday at our Coal City, IL location. This position will receive a competitive salary along with a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) and generous paid time off.
