Job Summary

Lovell Weekday Ministry of First Baptist Church of Conway, SC is looking for full-time custodian to work Monday through Friday 2 pm – 10 pm.

We are looking for a responsible Custodian who can keep our childcare/church buliding clean. We are looking for the right person to maintain and protect our facilitates. Custodian is responsible for keeping a running inventory of all cleaning supplies and submitting purchasing request when supplies get low.

This person will ensure our facilities are always kept up, never getting filthy, but always presentable for the many guest that use our facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform routine cleaning tasks for the childcare center and chruch based on schedule.

· Ensure spaces are prepared for guest by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.

· Keep a running inventory of all cleaning supplies and submitting a purchasing request when supplies get low.

· Sweep and mop all floors and vacuum and shampoo carpets.

· Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and restock disposables (e.g. soap, paper products).

· Restoack all disposables in the classrooms and bathrooms

· Thoroughly dust all surfaces; including but not limited to desk tops, file cabinets, window sills, chairs, pictures and furnishings.

· Wipe mirrors and windows.

· Wipe down walls, bathroom partitions and light switches to remove fingerprints and smudges.

· Sweep and Mop steps.

· Empties trash receptacles and bags trash for proper disposal.

· Any other duties assigned by the Director and/or Senior Pastor.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· High School or GED preferred.

· Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.

· Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.

· Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.

· Ability to safely use cleaning and supplies.

· Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.

· Ability to read, understand follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

· Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
