Position Summary

Our Front Office Medical Assistants work for mental health providers in Georgia, assisting them with tasks such as answering telephone calls, scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance benefits and other basic administrative duties. This position requires a high level of professionalism and multi-tasking abilities from someone who is detail oriented with a pleasant personality.

We have openings for Front Office Virtual Assistants, Back Office Virtual Assistants & VA Leads.

Virtual Assistant Lead

Status/Schedule: Full-time

Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch)

Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer multi-line telephone system
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls for all assigned offices
  • Check voicemail messages & send text messages to patients
  • Respond to patient & provider emails
  • Demonstrate empathetic listening for callers going through a tough time
  • Schedule new and existing patient appointments for multiple offices
  • Follow scheduling protocols and guidelines
  • Properly screen potential new patients
  • Actively work with the clinicians to fill open/cancellation spots
  • Enter patient demographic and insurance information into EHR
  • Verify coinsurance and copayments
  • Deductible accumulations
  • Benefit limits
  • Verify eligibility dates
  • Re-verification of benefits
  • Process patient payments
  • Follow scheduling protocols and guidelines
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Reliable Transportation
  • 2 years of administrative experience in the healthcare field
  • Access to reliable wifi
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiar with Medical terminology
  • Experience using Healthcare EHR systems
  • Ability to follow both verbal & written instruction
  • Exceptional telephone & email etiquette (well spoken & articulate)
  • Comfortable using a variety of online insurance verification portals
  • Proficient use of office equipment and software (iPhone, GMail, Google Drive, Google Sheets)
  • Capacity to make professional decisions based on accumulated knowledge of position
  • Ability to work independently & proactively

Requirements:

  • Must authorize and pass a background check
  • Provide I-9 supporting documentation that proves your identity and eligibility to work in the United States
  • Must reside in the metro-Atlanta area for on-site training and future in-person meetings

Office Location: Dunwoody, GA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.50 per hour
