Job Responsibilities

YourTown Health is currently seeking a full-time Front Office Certified Medical Assistant for our out-patient Family Practice office located in Senoia, GA! This position is responsible for providing all general customer service and nursing responsibilities under the direction of the Clinical Director and site provider. Principle responsibilities include:

• Handle medical telephone triage calls, provide basic counseling of diseases, and provide basic Health Maintenance counseling under the supervision and orders of the provider.
• Maintain all tracking and referral log systems in place.
• Maintain and track Behavioral Health referrals for the Senoia Behavioral Health provider.
• Arrange appointments for urgent referrals generated by the provider.
• Contact patients on lab results.
• Check pharmacy medications and provide medications to patients.
• Check-out patients.
• Provider coverage for the Customer Service Representative when needed.
• Scan documents into the EMR system.
• Request Medical Records per the providers request.
• Manage and process faxes throughout the day.

Education

• Possess a degree in Medical Assisting, Licensed Practical Nursing or is a licensed Paramedic
• Must have current registration/certification in the State of Georgia as a Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Paramedic

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in an outpatient physician practice or urgent care center preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge and skills to assist in the front and back office.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
